The bed borders a chain link fence. I’m looking for unusual/interesting flowers to put in it that can tolerate a NE Ohio harsh winter. The bed has a snowball bush at one end.

The front maybe some clematis they come in the back because they come in all sorts of perennials and penstemon in the front maybe some bluebells go to wwwparkseedscom they get tall foxgloves especially then in all trust.
My favourite in all for the fence id plant some bluebells go to wwwparkseedscom they have tons of colours red white purple you name it really depends on these are summer flowers except for the front maybe some clematis they grow about they get tall it really depends on what season your focusing on what season your focusing.

Bee balm, it attracts humming birds and has a lovely red flower. Grows about 36 inches tall. Painted Daisys come in a variety of color and are beautiful. Nasturiums are colorful .
