Hey all… I REALLY need a hobby that I wont regret doing when I am older… I am a 12-year old boy, and I have already tried quite a lot of hobbies.. Ahem.

Playing an instrument (Clarinet, Bassoon)
Beer bottle cap collecting
Gardening
Butterfly collecting and observing (Currently doing, but getting harder to do)
Art (Painting, sculpture.. You get the idea.)
Drama groups..
Shell collecting.

I also heard that rock collecting or leaf collecting might keep me busy for a few weeks..

Open to suggestions.
Thanks in advance!

Try the craft store, it might give you some ideas. Also, you can try hobby cars, you can build them, paint it etc., They are also sold in the craft store. Have fun!

    How about photography?
You can take plenty of random pictures everywhere you go, and a handful of those might be pretty enough to spice up a room.
Requirements: A decent camera and a good observing eye

Learn to photo edit and manipulate?
When photography goes hand-in-hand with photo editing and manipulation, you can create stunning pictures that can boggle anyone.
Requirements: A decent photo editing software (e.g GIMP, Adobe Photoshop) and some skills.

    Create a video blog…instantly.

You obviously have a computer so start learning about that. Find sites, preferably .edu sites so you don’t have to worry about spyware, malware ect. Doing it now will greatly improve your knowledge by the time you are an adult and it will be something you will always be able to use and rely on even if it is just at home for fun. Computers are capable of more than you could ever imagine and in 10 years when you get out of college the will be capable of even more. And once you start learning about what you can do with one it will definately become a huge hobby

How about Origami (art of paper folding)?? You can choose to fold a variety of models from animals, birds, pretty butterflies to even dragons and dinosaurs.

Other models which are also very interesting are modular origami pieces and designs such as the kusudama.

All you need is Origami paper or even wrapping paper (which is readily available and can be cut down to the size you want too).

For the designs, you can check out instructional videos on youtube or simply run a search on google.
